FROM A KFC DRIVE-THROUGH TO FOREVER
Who would have thought that a first date through a KFC drive-through would be the beginning of such a beautiful love story?
It may not have been the most glamorous beginning, but God often works in the ordinary to create something extraordinary.
Not long after meeting, Julia had been accepted into the Royal Australian Navy, and their relationship was tested by distance, months apart and the challenges that come with military life. But instead of weakening their relationship, the distance only made their love stronger.
Josh stood beside Julia, supported her dreams and waited patiently for those precious opportunities when they could talk and be together.
Then, on 28 August 2026, at the beautiful Salt House, surrounded by their closest family and friends, Julia and Josh finally became husband and wife.
It was such an honour and privilege to stand beside them as their Marriage Celebrant and share in a ceremony filled with love, faith, family and friendship.
But perhaps one of the greatest gifts for me has been that somewhere along the way, Julia and Josh became more than one of my beautiful wedding couples — they became dear friends, and I know that friendship will last forever.
